ALZA Corporation is a pharmaceutical and medical systems company founded in 1968 by Dr Alejandro Zaffaroni; the company's name is a portmanteau of his name. In addition to a variety of pharmaceuticals, ALZA makes a range of drug delivery systems. In May 2001 ALZA was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in a stock-for-stock transaction worth US$10.5 billion. Alza is the maker of many familiar brands such as Acuvue, Aveeno, Band-Aid, Carefree, Clean & Clear, Johnson's Baby, K-Y, Neutrogena, OneTouch, Rembrandt, Stayfree, and the infamous Tylenol. Alza is Headquartered in Mountainview, California but has a Clean Facility in Vacaville California and Cashel, Ireland.

Alza makes an effort to be environmentally conscious and responsible. They encourage their employees to be aware and literate in the language of environmentalism at their company celebration of Earth Day (4/22/2008) where they urge their employees to waste less and carpool to ease their impact on the environment.
